There are two avenues to secure early access to EA FC 24: through the EA FC 24 Ultimate Edition or via an EA Play subscription. Here's how both options work and the extent of early access they offer.
Early Access to EA FC 24 – Ultimate Edition
Players who pre-order the EA FC 24 Ultimate Edition will receive seven days of early access, enabling them to dive into the game starting Friday, September 22. This provides an extra two days compared to the early access offered by pre-ordering the FIFA 23 Ultimate Edition.
While seven days of early access are enticing, it comes at a cost. The EA FC 24 Ultimate Edition is the highest-priced option, priced at £99.99 / $99.99 / AU$149.95 on Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S, PS4, and PS5. However, pre-ordering this edition also comes with additional perks, such as 4,000 FC Points, a TOTW 1 Player Item, and various rewards for use in Ultimate Team, Clubs, and Career Mode.
Early Access to EA FC 24 – EA Play
Subscribers to EA Play can access a 10-hour early access trial of EA FC 24 starting from Friday, September 22, which aligns with the early access date for those who pre-ordered the Ultimate Edition. Although it's a 10-hour trial, an EA Play subscription is a much more economical option, priced at £3.99 / $4.99 / AU$6.99 per month or £19.99 / $29.99 / AU$49.99 per year on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S, and PC.
This means you won't have committed a substantial amount if you decide the game isn't for you. Furthermore, should you decide to purchase the game after the trial, any progress made during the trial will carry over.
Similar to pre-ordering the Ultimate Edition, subscribing to EA Play offers more than just early access. EA Play subscribers enjoy a 10% discount on in-game purchases in EA FC 24, including FC Points.
